Can this game be said to be a precursor to todays point and click RPGs? Felt this game was really innovative.

Hilarious when it started raining and the law of inertia was suspended, causing a sliding tackle to become an infinite slide off the pitch and into doom.

Just spent an hour searching for info on this game on a whim before I came across the familiar title and this video! I got it from someone in trade with no manual in the 80s. Probably spent hours with friends trying every command and trying to make sense of the cryptic icon interface and game design. We were enthralled by the epic music and fascinated by the premise and strange hero characters which came through even in this abstract design. I don't know if I ever got very far on in the game but it seemed so fascinating. It made me think of Silverhawks or Galaxy Rangers, that kind of weird Buck Rogers/Flash Gordon kind of retro sci-fi setting.

Ikari Warriors is one of those SNK games that used the legendary LS-30 rotary encoder joystick. Looks like the programmers did a great job porting it to the C-64 without the rotary controller and still keeping it playable. Definitely going to load this ROM onto my C-64 Max console ASAP. I played it successfully until the End and i remember the Finishing Scene with the Jeep and the waving Soldier up to this day. Wow! And i only saw i once in a lifetime. That shows, what Computergames meant to me in the 80's! Thanks for the Video! It took me some time to get to know the name of the game and today, by coincidence, i found it.

How many games did commodore have I can remember my dad pirated at least 1400 had a book alphabetical and the disks catalogued in drawers by number. Some disks had 20 games on one. Load "boot" RUN 14:45
